K J Somaiya Institute of Technology officially inaugurated the first ever “Centre of Excellence” in joint collaboration with UiPath & Robonomics AI on 18th Aug, 2018, for what is believed to be the 1st ever unique cell among all Engineering colleges in India.
The Ice-Breaking session about Robotic Process Automation, AI & ML was conducted by team from UiPath- Mr. Tejas Venkatesh & Mr. Ashu Sinha, RobonomicsAI which was attended by around 120 students and 10 faculties.This made awareness about evolutionary technologies Robotic Process Automation, AI & ML and the future demands on these technologies.
The invited guests were Mr. Subramanian, President & CEO (India and APAC) at UiPath - Robotic Process Automation and Mr. Samir Sinha & Mr. Ashu Sinha Founder and Managing Director Robonomics AI, from UiPath Mr. Murli Mohan – Vice President Sales, Mr. Nishit Shah – Manager, Pre-Sales, Mr. Tejas Venkatesh – RPA Evangelist & from Robonomics AI, Mr. Amit Dasgupta ( Evangelist from Robonomics AI), Mr. Rajesh Bhatt from EPSCO & Mr. Chandrakant Kapse from Enterprise organization, Shri. V. Ranganatha—Secretary Somaiya Trust, Dr. Suresh Ukarande—Principal, Dr. Sunita Patil—Vice-Principal in attendance with the Heads, faculty and students of second & third year.
The reasons for establishing the ‘Centre of Excellence’ a name synonymous to Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Mr. Raghunath Subramanian, President & CEO (India and APAC) at UiPath spoke at length on the - Robotic Process Automation( RPA) that is launching a radically opposite approach to solving problems that first builds solutions around new age automation technologies. He offered the ‘campus placements’ to students working under the domain of ‘Robotics’. The audience witnessed a skype call with Mr. Samir Sinha Founder and Managing Director Robonomics AI. Mr. Samir addressed the young audience with a focus that the ‘future of all technologies is Robotics’ and the new expertise will enable various benefits from the new technologies, to replace the outdated technology with an element of precision. He underlined the AI Solution as it is instrumental in leveraging the industry knowledge with the changing demands of society, the importance of ‘learning emerging trends in the area of Robotics’ for securing placements that demands an expertise in technological domain.

Currently total 76 students & 10 faculties from KJSIT have registered under CoE. Total 30 students & 4 faculty undergone the training conducted from 13th Sept 18-17th Sept 18 wherein students and faculty started execution on UiPath RPA tool. Total 12 industry projects are allotted to group of students and after the successful completion of the same, the students will undergo UiPath Certification & placement activities.
